Reuben Cohen is an Award-winning mastering engineer. He has been with Lurssen Mastering since the company’s inception. He brings a contemporary and innovative approach to the craft of mastering and has that special talent essential to success in the mastering field - an ability to understand the artist's creative concepts. He goes to great lengths to achieve the vision of the artist.
Reuben was awarded his Latin Grammy for his work on Diego Torres' album "Distinto," and he also received a 2014 TEC Award for his work on the single, "Happy," by Pharrell Williams. He has worked with many notable and Award-winning artists including Metallica, Pharrell Williams, Incubus, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Bruno Mars, India.Arie, Kid Cudi, Sean Kingston, Skylar Grey, and Far East Movement.Soundtracks include, Game Of Thrones, All Is Lost, Slumdog Millionaire, Pitch Perfect 1 and 2, Ride Along 1 and 2, Despicable Me 1 and 2, and Minions, to name just a few.
Reuben is at the forefront in the technical advancement of the music production industry, including his efforts to help young people choosing a career in the field. He regularly takes part in discussion panels at schools who specialize in audio programs and, from time to time, hosts mastering demonstrations at Lurssen Mastering.
