Music Software Trade Assoc.) and SAE Institute as they host IMSTA FESTA, a celebration of music technology packed with Panels, Workshops & Master Classes, Song Critiques, Demonstrations and more. Hosting industry experts in an environment where music-makers can network, interact and learn with each other face-to-face, this annual one-day event is not to be missed. IMSTA FESTA is a FREE event open to everyone in the music making community; professional and semi-professional musicians, songwriters, music producers, and audio engineers, as well as music students and educators.

He has scored major theatrical films, written compositions for commercials, produced records, designed and programmed sounds and sound effects played on hundreds of film, TV, record and advertising projects as well as owning commercial music and sound design companies commercial recording and musical instrument rental companies in Los Angeles and Nashville.

Michael's theatrical feature scoring credits include 'Buckaroo Banzai', 'The Adventures of Milo & Otis', 'FX2', ‘Battlestar Gallactica’, 'Bulletproof' ‘Free Jack’ and “Captive”.

He composed the opening theme for ABC-TV Sunday Night Sports "Scootin'”.

Thirteen Epcot Center (Disney World) attractions have music, sound effects and video games performed and/or composed by Lehmann Boddicker. He also composed the “Starfield Intro” to Michael Jackson’s Captain EO featured at Disneyland.

In his work as an audio producer, Michael produced Randy Newman’s “Theme From The Natural”, Michael Jackson's short film 'HIStory' and the animated short film which opened Jackson’s last world tour as well.

Michael has also produced, arranged, adapted and composed additional music and sound design for the advertising of such box office giants as: 'The Bodyguard', 'Cliffhanger' and 'Waterworld'.

Dr. Boddicker has produced & supervised six films scores for beginning composers from the USC Film Scoring Program overseeing careers from graduation through first theatrical release. One result is the Student Emmy Award winning, Sundance Film Festival short film 'Mum'. Mum has won numerous Grand Prize awards, and has shown in over thirty-five festivals worldwide. He continues to work with students at USC, UCLA and Sarah Lawrence College.



He performed on hundreds of movie soundtracks including "Fatal Attraction", "Cocktail", Witness, "Dead Poet’s Society", "Free Willy 1 & 2", "Secret of My Success", "The Right Stuff", "Karate Kid II & III", "Desperately Seeking Susan", "Revenge of the Nerds", “Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "Welcome Home Roxie Carmichael”.

Grammy winning and contemporary classic records he performed on include: "Greatest Love Of All" by Whitney Houston; "Can’t Slow Down" by Lionel Richie, Barbra Streisand's "Somewhere", Guitar Hero classic Cheap Trick “Surrender”, The Dazz Band “Let It Whip” and USA For Africa's "We Are The World."

Boddicker sampled and created pan pipe sounds for the main themes in "Karate Kid II" and musical sound effects for the films "Xanadu", “Saturday Night Fever” and “My Girl” and most recently “The Dark Knight”.

Among hundreds of television performing credits are the music from "St. Elsewhere", "Roots", “The 60’s”, "Annie McGuire", "The Equalizer", NBC Olympic coverage, "Falcon Crest" and the HBO special "War Story."

He has won three Keyboard magazine Reader's Poll awards as Best Studio Synthesist and Best Session Player and has been honored by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (The Grammy Awards people) as Most Valuable Player four times earning emeritus status for continuing contributions to the state-of-the-art.

He attended The University of Iowa, Coe College, The University of Wisconsin and UCLA. He received an honorary Doctorate of Music in 1991 in recognition of his achievements, contributions and furtherance of electronic music in the recording industry.

Sol7Post.com was started by Boddicker in 2011 as a mix and audio post facility. Since opening it has done the music mix for Southpaw, The 33, Katy Perry The Grammy’s,



Michael has recently played on records for Herb Alpert, No Doubt, Motley Crüe and Lionel Richie, and Michael Jackson’s This Is It also performing live for the Grammy Awards, the Academy Awards, and numerous All Star concerts including Dionne Warwick and Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary concert/TV special. He also has played with the legendary Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, John Denver, Placido Domingo, Celine Dion and Ray Charles.

His is married to singer/vocal contractor/actress Edie Lehmann Boddicker (Katy Perry, John Powell, Hans Zimmer, Horton Hears A Who, Happy Feet, Madonna, Aretha Franklin).

MusiCares Custom Earplugs | 2PM

MusiCares’ Hearing Health initiative promotes hearing conservation and hearing health for music industry professionals. MusiCares will host an on-site hearing clinic at IMSTA FESTA LA and offer free ear impressions for custom musician earplugs to individuals who have at least five years’ industry experience.

Individuals will be asked to complete a brief application to ensure MusiCares eligibility.

IMSTA FESTA SONG REVIEWS | 2PM

IMSTA announces Song Reviews beginning at 2pm. Bring your original song in on a headphone-compatible device and receive a one-on-one listening session with an industry expert who will give you a critique on your masterpiece. From the Song Reviews, the judges nominate 'Wild Cards' who are then spontaneously added to the finalists' pool who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd of the 2017 IMSTA Songwriting Competition. (Wild Cards must be present for judging at 5pm)

At the end of 2017, the 1st place finalists of each region are re-entered into a draw for the Grand Prize. The winner goes to Black Rock Studios in Santorini, Greece! Don't miss the opportunity to possibly go to Greece!

POLYVERSE MANIPULATOR CONTEST

Polyverse fans alike can come to the booth and sit at a special demo station equipped with a webcam, where they can record a 30 second clip of them explaining why they want Manipulator. They will be able to manipulate their voice in real time while they make the video, or afterwards should they choose to do so. The winner will receive a free copy of Manipulator, and runners up will all receive special Polyverse merchandise.
