With a lustrous r&b infused jazz sound, songwriter and performing artist Seyblu represents a diverse femme community with a fierce fashion sense and enchanting live show. Weaving dreamy jazz chords with intimate songwriting and whimsical vocals, Seyblu is creating a fresh shimmering r&b sound of her own.
In 2020 Seyblu worked with Jim Junior (Birthday Boy, RALPH) to indulge in her pop-sensibilities on her single, Thought You Were My Man. The sensual, 90’s r&b-inspired track features her expressive vocals through catchy hooks and a tight pop production.
On her upcoming 2021 EP, Silk Sessions, Seyblu embarked on a cabin retreat in her hometown with producer SLWJMZ (Saukrates, Clear Mortifee, Boy Pape). Complete with a wilderness soundscape of birds, insects, and rain as the backdrop, Seyblu brings romantic imagery to life through vulnerable lyrics, sultry r&b melodies, and sparkly vocal layers. The EP touches on a long-distance relationship, longing, loneliness, heartache and love realized, as we follow her whimsical melodies through each story. Her raw acoustic instrumentation creates a feeling that the band is carrying her every word.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Liam Barrack is currently in university for a double major in music and computer science. He started doing music from a very young age; his parents made him take ten years of piano training, and, ironically, he hated every second of it.
It wasn’t until around grade 10 that he started getting interested personally in music, and began teaching himself guitar and jamming with anyone who was interested.
Since then he has been working with a producer and various other people who help him create fully fleshed out versions of the songs he write. His goal is to have his music career permit be self-sustaining, so that he may focus on it full time.

Verse 1:
Looking in the mirror
I still see your face
Behind me with a trace of your scent
Sometimes I think I’m crazy
When I hear your voice trapped inside another body
Prechorus:
And I know it’s not you
I know I had my chance
I’d give up anything for your touch
I gotta make amends
I wanted you so bad
But it’s just not the way
It’s supposed to be
Chorus:
We got a love
That cannot live
but never dies
that logic defies
We got a love
That cannot live
But never dies
When I close my eyes
I feel you inside
Verse 2:
Way up in the sky when I see lightening strike
Reminds me of our fight in the storm
You looked right in my eyes and told me I was yours
And no matter what
To never doubt our love
Prechorus:
And I know I lost you
I know Ive had my chance
Still give up anything for your touch
I gotta make amends
Im needing you so bad
But it’s just not the way
It’s supposed to be
Chorus:
We got a love
That cannot live
But never dies
That logic defies
We got a love
That cannot live
But never dies
When I close my eyes
I feel you inside
Bridge:
Your shield by my side and I know that I am safe
Bathing in your light always makes me feel like I’m soaked in your eternal grace
I know that our bond grows across lifetimes
I’m waiting for the next time
I get to feel the warmth of your smile
Chorus:
We got a love
That cannot live
But never dies
That logic defies
We got a love
That cannot live
But never dies
When I close my eyes
I feel you inside
